Aniket has twelve years of experience and specialises in private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture, strategic collaboration, debt financing transactions, corporate restructuring transactions, establishment of new business operations, general corporate, commercial contracts and intellectual property. He has been involved in transactions focused on equity/debt financings in e-commerce, education, health care, manufacturing and telecom sectors, as well as cross border acquisitions and joint ventures.

His transactional practice includes advice to investee companies and various strategic and financial investors on structuring of transactions; drafting, vetting, negotiation and finalisation of transaction documents; entry and exit strategies; and foreign exchange regulations.

Aniket has considerable experience in general corporate work related to regulatory matters and represents companies in negotiating and finalisation of various commercial contracts with third parties, franchisees, distributors and agents.

He also liaises with government regulators on a regular basis and advices on various policy matters.

Aniket has extensively advised in various areas of information technology law including outsourcing and data protection issues. He also has experience of providing advice on software licensing and channel partner agreements, software and mobile application development agreements, and privacy and networking matters to IT companies.

He is involved in the Media and Entertainment practice of the Firm and has represented and continues to advise various studios and media houses with respect to their key commercial transactions, negotiating and documenting various business relationships with third parties, employment matters and intellectual property matters.

After graduating from GNLU, Aniket started his career at a leading law firm of India, IndusLaw with its New Delhi office. After a stint of almost 5 (five) years at IndusLaw, he set up his law firm MNSA Legal, followed by Palladium Partners. He is associated with PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, New Delhi, Configuration of Indian Industries, New Delhi, and International Bar Association. He enjoys listening to music, traveling and reading books on history.

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

  • Aniket has represented a leading stock trading company in a lead matter pertaining to unfair trade practice in the futures and options segment of derivatives market wherein Aniket represented the traders before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India against an appeal by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”).
    This is a leading case that highlights the powers and duties of the SEBI particularly in regard to regulating the market conditions with respect to the futures and options segment of derivatives market.
  • Aniket has advised Commercial Bank of Dubai, a leading commercial bank of UAE, headquartered in Dubai, with respect to the entire strategy and process pertaining to litigation for the recovery of its debts from various erstwhile customers who are outside the jurisdiction of UAE, and are currently in India.
  • Aniket has advised, Promsvyazbank – a leading public sector bank in Moscow, Russia with respect to the entire strategy and process pertaining to litigation for the recovery of their respective debts from corporate debtors in India.
  • Aniket has been the key person driving his firm – Palladium Partners’ best friends’ relationship with a global law firm network – Cathay Associates, in an exclusive referral arrangement for India (refer http://cathayassociates.com/offices/new-delhi/).
    The Cathay network – founded by eight-year-old Chinese boutique law firm Cathay Associates Kejie, and two European partners in September 2015, has more than 60 law firm offices in 50 countries, which refer and cross-refer work to each other.
  • In a complex acquisition transaction having deal value of USD 26.1 million, Aniket advised Sandhya Hotels Private Limited, Hyderabad in its acquisition of Akme Rhine River Projects Private Limited, New Delhi.
